VICTORIA HISLOPI Norge har den populære forfatteren Victoria Hislop vært aktuell med bøkene “Øya” og “Hjemkomsten”. Begge bøkene har ligget på bestselgerlistene og høstet strålende kritikker både hos publikum og anmeldere.

Forfatteren har studert engelsk ved Universitetet i Oxford, og har i flere år arbeidet som reiselivsjournalist. Hun fikk utmerkelsen ”Årets nykommer” for sin debutroman Øya i British Book Award 2007. Boken er oversatt til tyve språk, og er solgt i over en million eksemplarer bare i Storbritannia.

Hennes tredje roman “The Thread” og en samling av historier “En Kretisk Aften” er utgitt på engelsk i november 2011
