4th December 2012: Victoria, with Kate Mosse and Jojo Moyes – all of whom were shortlisted for the National Book Awards Popular Fiction prize (which was won by EL James) – with an award they “borrowed” at the ceremony last Tuesday.
Victoria’s novel “The Thread” is among the nominees for the prestigious IMPAC Dublin Literary Award 2013. An international award, the IMPAC is unique as nominations are made by libraries in capital and major cities throughout the world.
World Book Night 2013: Victoria’s first novel “The Island” has been selected as one of the books for World Book Night 2013 a celebration of reading and books which sees tens of thousands of passionate volunteers gift specially chosen and printed WBN books in their communities to share their love of reading. Each year we recruit 20,000 volunteers to hand out 20 copies of their favourite book from our list to members of their community who don’t regularly read.
Victoria has been named as one of The 1000: London’s most influential people of 2012, a list compiled annually by the Evening Standard to “pay tribute to the most influential and exciting men and women in our capital.”
